The Ultimate Makeup Hack: Sandwich Concealer

If you have ever struggled with a blemish or imperfection on your skin before a big event, you know how stressful it can be to try to cover it up with makeup! This week in the blog we are sharing a step-by-step tutorial on the “sandwich concealer” trend that can help make your blemish less noticeable in no time!

Step 1: Setting Spray

While setting spray is usually the last step in our makeup routines, we are going to start our makeup with setting spray for this sandwich concealer trend! To begin, spray 1-2 spritzes of Lit Mist Illuminating Setting Spray onto your finger and gently press on and around the blemish. Wait for it to dry down before moving it to step 2.

Step 2: Loose Powder

After the setting spray has fully dried on the skin, we are ready for step 2! With an Airbrush Blurring Powder Brush, gently dip the brush in our 4-in-1 Loose Setting Powder Lightweight Blurring Powder in shade Translucent before tapping off excess powder from the brush. Apply a thin layer of the Loose Setting Powder onto the skin. Sweep away any excess powder so you have a smooth base before moving on to step 3.

Step 3: Concealer

Next, apply our 4-in-1 Sculpting Concealer with Skincare Ingredients on top of the Loose Setting Powder in a circular pattern around the blemish. Be careful not to apply the concealer directly onto the blemish as we want to be able to evenly blend out the concealer without applying too much product. Allow the concealer to dry down for 3-5 minutes before blending with the Liquid Chisel Brush.

Step 4: Setting Powder

Now, it is time to repeat! With the same Airbrush Blurring Powder Brush and 4-in-1 Loose Setting Powder Lightweight Setting Powder from step 2, we are going to repeat the same steps. Gently dip the brush in the translucent setting powder before tapping off excess powder from the brush. Apply a thin layer of the Loose Setting Powder onto the skin. Sweep away any excess powder for smooth, even-looking coverage.

Step 5: Setting Spray

Last but not least, give your skin a final spray of Lit Mist Illuminating Setting Spray to help deliver instant luminosity while setting and refreshing makeup. Allow the setting spray to fully dry before moving onto the rest of your makeup routine and voila!
