Correcting Primer Hydrate & Balance is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Primer Glue!!!!! I was never a primer fan, believing they always over promised and under delivered until a friend insisted i try this one. She eventually gifted this to me and since then I have gifted over 20 to my friends and family! I have an extremely oily T-Zone and very dry everywhere else. in an average 10-14 hour day in my makeup I was touching up (wearing waterproof foundation) 2-4X a day...now I NEVER TOUCH UP! This primer keeps my oily & dry skin balanced with my foundation flawless all day. All the women I've gifted this to with all sorts of skin conditions ans all different foundations agree,,,THE BEST BEAUTY PRODUCT EVER!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for oily skin I purchased this primer because I was informed by one of the representatives that it would be great for oily skin because it would balance it out. Well that unfortunately was not the case for me. I had minimal hopes to begin with for controlling my oil because my skin has always been problematic; however this seemed to make the oil worse! I use oil blotting sheets religiously and usually go through 3-4 before noon (yeah it's bad). This for some reason just made my skin produce oil like crazy and I'm now up to about 6 sheets before noon! I will say it's as good as any of the other Pur Minerals primers because it's smooth and the makeup goes on beautifully. It's just the oil control that's lacking. The correcting primer worked out much better for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product! I am 42 and I have dealt with acne since I was in Jr. High. I have been on the hunt for a new foundation that was easy to apply, but looked natural. Bare Minerals had been my go to product line for years, but I wasn't happy with how often I needed to apply it as well as how the finish didn't really look natural. I decided to give the 4 n 1 mineral make up a try along with the hydrate and balance primer. So happy with this combination! My skin is so clear, my make up stays in place most of the day, and the finish looks natural. I was even told by a stranger that my skin looked flawless!

Is this actually lavender on your skin? Or does it become translucent once rubbed in?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Pur Beauty! Absolutely! The Hydrate & Balance primer will actually appear translucent on the skin. It's a gel texture (silicone free) so your skin will love it's light weight silicone free texture! For oily skin, you might also want to try the In The Clear cleanser! Thank you for your Pur question!

Hi there, I'm African American and was wondering if this product is okay for my skin color. I normally use the white Correcting primer, but I wanted to switch to find something to accommodate my oily skin.

Jess! Absolutely! Hydrate and Balance (Lavender) correcting primer is great for an oily skin type because it has salicylic acid and is silicon free! Another great product you might enjoy is Pur's translucent setting powder and blotting powder Balancing Act! It's fantastic for quick touch ups!

I normally use the green primer for redness but I find it makes my face so pale, no color. I was thinking of using the hydrate and balance instead with the disappearing ink for the redness. I have very dry skin. Would this be a good choice? Thank you

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Holly! The green primer is fantastic to reduce redness! Before trying a new primer, I want to share a Pur Pro application tip for the green primer. Squeeze a little of the green primer on the back of the hand and dip a (clean) blush brush or similar fluffy brush into the primer and then buff it all over the face. This applies the green primer in a seamless almost translucent application that won't cause the skin tone to appear overly pale. Or you could try either Hydrate & Balance or Prep & Perfect Primer!
