Using a Blurring Powder Brush, apply Afterglow along the tip of the nose, above the cheekbones, along the brow bone and décolleté for megawatt brightening. For even more highlighted definition, apply with a flat brush to the brow bone and at an angle from the outer corner of the eye to the nose. Wear alone or over any foundation.

“Illuminators and highlighters are meant to bounce and reflect light from the skin. Apply them with purpose to brighten the eyes or lift your cheek bones. Use a Blurring Concealer Brush or Precision Crease Brush for more precise application.”

Afterglow Illuminating Powder is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from very pearlized or shiny this product is a highlighter and not an illuminator. Illuminators are suppose to be used all over the face and they are suppose to blur imperfections. If you use this product in this manner, you will have a very shiny face as this product is very pearlized. There is so much shine to the product that it emphasizes wrinkles and pore size rather than blurs it. It also has a very beige/yellow base which can make you look sallow if you are not careful. Upside to this...I have enough highlighter to last me into the next century as the product is packaged in the same sized pan as the marble powders. Product should be relabeled as a highlighter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from too shiny and yellow beige. Liked Pur Radiance much better. Too bad you don't carry pur radiance any more. I hoped this would be similar but it is much more yellow/beige and shiny which leaves a weird color. Was looking for a powder to set my liquid foundation. As it is shiny, I don't find it blends away flaws, rather it accents them. I was surprised by the Sunburn Alert on the back. This was not mentioned on the website that the product contains an AHA which may increase skin sensitivity to sun and possibility of sunburn. I don't waste anything or leave anything unused so I am going to use this for highlighting brow area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it I was looking for something to give my skin a subtle glow, not shine, but just a light natural shimmer - and this does exactly that. It is great because you can dust your face lightly for just a subtle shimmer or add more for a real summer glow. It is not irritating at all and it wears well - lasts all day. Great all over the face & neck, or just on the eyes or whatever - it is versatile. The size warrants the price in my opinion. Very happy, and will reorder this product so I hope this stays in the PÃ1/4r Minerals line for quite some time.

why can you not come back with the old product PUR RADIANCE? i swore by this product for years, and have not been able to find anything like it since you removed it from the product line..

Asked by: Sandy
Dear PUR Beauty, PUR Radiance was a lovely complexion enhancing powder! I too, used PUR Radiance at one time as my last "little touch" over top of my 4-in-1 Mineral Makeup. PUR is consistently launching new products so checking back with us! I will share that after applying my 4-in-1 Mineral Makeup as my foundation, I will often times use a powder brush with my After Glow illuminating powder and mix with a little of my pressed powder foundation to achieve a softer diffused look when applied across the forehead, down the nose and above the cheek area. It just adds that "little extra something" to the over all look!

Is this made to be used by all kinds of folks, with Various skin tones or just those with white / lighter complexions? Thank you

Asked by: Melde
Hello Pur Beauty! Afterglow can be worn on all shades tones. But the key is application! As a highlighter, I like to use Afterglow with the Pur Minerals crease eyeshadow brush. I find the less dense brushes allow me gradually build the intensity or keep it sheer on the skin. It only takes a small amount of Afterglow. I find I can even get too impatient apply too much before realizing! So be light handed at first and sweep and buff the color into the skin. Sometimes I will use Mineral Glow as a highlighter using the same application technique for under the eyes, cheek bones, nose, chin and forehead for shades deep & deeper. Mineral Glow is warmer as appose to Afterglow being more yellow. Hope that answers your question! Before you know it, you will be a highlighting pro!

Is this product similar to the mineral light that you no longer carry?

Asked by: Shannon
Afterglow is used as highlighter or illuminator just as Mineral Light, the difference is, Afterglow has more of champagne, soft candle glow finish. Therefore, it is universally more complimentary on the skin. It can also be used on the body!
